  Overall

Tony Hawk`s Downhill Jam is a decent game for the Nintendo Wii, but is far behind its counterparts on the other consoles. Even if you are a big fan of the Tony Hawk series, Downhill Jam will probably have you scratching your head with dismay; the gameplay is just that different. Less emphasis is put on the tricks and the game relies much more on the downhill element, which makes sense considering the name, but it is so far from the formula that it doesn’t feel like a Tony Hawk game. This is definitely a change for the series and I don’t think this is where gamers want it heading. It seems like Downhill Jam was just whipped together so it could launch along with Project 8. If you have a 360 or PS3, stick to Project 8, otherwise Downhill Jam is probably only worth renting to most people – even fans.

  Sweet to the Core
Controls Work Well. Downhill Jam uses the Wii remote turned sideways and it works great.

  Going Bad
Graphics. Nothing spectacular, even for the Wii.

  Rotten to the Core
 Lame Characters. Just plain annoying.

Less Emphasis on Tricks. Forget about the cool tricks, Downhill Jam is only about the speed.
